Join Gibbs & Aleks as they return to tour the LTAC hospital in central El Paso with Ghost Hunters Of theSouthwest and Texas and review the audio from the first time they took their ghost tour. This time co-host Aleks with a K joins us as well as the BorderGeek production crew, and some past employees who discuss some of the stories that circulated when the hospital was still operational and freak us the hell out with stories about ghost children. We are joined by a few members of GHOST-EP as well as our special guest Chris Medina who got us even more excited to do this again as he said “No two tours are alike.”

The BorderGeek - Ep20 at Koi Cabaret
Gibbs & Aleks are getting in all sorts of trouble again. To celebrate 20 episodes of The BorderGeek Podcast they visit the newest strip club in town. With the biggest stage, the longest poles, and soon the biggest shows, Koi Cabaret! Gibbs & Aleks make themselves feel at home in the Koi VIP room in this awesome BYOB venue. They enjoy some drinks, and the company of exotic dancers (pronounced s-t-r-i-p-p-e-r-s) Goldie, Suki, and Envy. They entertain us with stories about life in their line of work, and some of the weirder side of it, learning that that once you hear something it can never be unheard. Ever. EVER! What are we talking about? We can't really describe it… You just have to listen to the podcast and live with the knowledge in your head forever just like us. Besides all that, It was a lot of fun recording this podcast and we will be doing more like there in the future so stay tuned!

The BorderGeek - Ep19 with Comediologist Eddie Tafoya
The BorderGeek is out on the road! As Gibbs & Aleks perform at stand up comedy shows all over the country they bring their show with them. This time they encounter Comediologist Dr. Eddie Tafoya a professor of creative writing, New Testament studies, and American humor at New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, NM, author of the books Icons of African American Comedy and The Legacy of the Wisecrack: Stand-up Comedy as the Great American Literary Form, a stand-up comedian, very funny, and an all-around swell guy. They have a deep conversation on comedy the evolution and development of it thru out the 20th century as well as why fart jokes are hilarious.
We also go off topic a lot dicussing things like action/horror movies and just enjoy some geek comedy.

The BorderGeek - Ep18 with Ghost EP
- Episode 18 of The BorderGeek Podcast is here and it’s “creepylicious!” Gibbs and the BorderGeek Crew go ghost hunting! Well no actual ghosts were hunted down (we didn’t have or proton packs) but we did get to tour of the Southwestern General Hospital in central El Paso with the crew from Ghost Hunters of the Southwest and Texas or GHOST-EP for short.
We learned about the history of the hospital and enjoyed a late night tour with the organizers and crew of GHOST-EP and afterwards we review some alleged ghost recordings and discuss what we found. Joining us on the tour and the second part of the podcast are Brianne Saad and comedian Manny Vigil
